1. What kind of fertilizer is used? |

We use a quality slow release granular fertilizer for all of our
applications |

Many use a less expensive granular fertilizer or liquid product, which can
result in poor color or tip burn. |

2. What kind of response time on service
calls? |
US
We respond to service calls in 24 hours. Weekend calls are
responded on the following Monday. |

Many have a response time of 48 hours or "when they can get out your
way." Some may even charge for service calls. |

3. Is a grub control
application included in your program? |
US
We include an application of
Merit® Grub Preventative and a slow release fertilizer as a regular
application as part of our program. |

Many Companies count this as an additional "special" application.
You could be charged as much as 2X your regular application price. We
are told the applicators get a commission based on how many grub
applications they sell before grub season. |

4. Is a winterizer application included
in your program? |
US
Our sixth application is our winterizer application and is a part of
our 6 step program. |

Many companies add this as the 7th application so they can "up sell"
another application into your program. |

5. Are there hidden
charges? |
US
We include Manage (for nut-sedge) and post-emergent control for crabgrass & foxtail also Merit® grub control
at no extra cost. |

Many companies see these as extra money making opportunities, not as
an obligation to good service to their customers. |

6. What is your
price for services? |
US
We provide a free, no obligation, written estimate that details all of
our services and the price to you. The price per application that
you are quoted is the price that you will pay, this year and next year!

Some provide a written estimate and add you to a call list. Some
give you an introductory offer, only to "bump up" your price next year and
in subsequent years! |

7. Do you know who is on your lawn? |
US
We require all of our applicators to be licensed through the state.

Many of the larger companies have high turnover in staffing. You
may never see the same person on your lawn. To save money, some
companies do not even license their applicators! |

8. What kind of reputation does the
company have? |
